Alana Unruh (Moore) is a Saskatoon-based artist whose work revolves around the relationship between the body and our experience of the world mediated by technology and social media. Alana also explores notions of gender and labour through figurative painting, printmaking, drawing, and sculpture.
In 2012, Alana completed her BFA degree from the University of Saskatchewan where she specialized in painting and drawing. As an emerging artist, Alana has received the Michael S. Misanchuck Memorial Travel Grant, which brought her to New York City, and has one of her prints in the permanent collection at the Estevan Art Gallery. She has been profiled in Engage, the SaskCulture Magazine, and participated in numerous group shows in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
